We're in for a beautiful day here on the central plateau, with no wind and blue skies greeting us this morning through the fog! We shot out to the delta for a look before work and Theresa nailed a beautiful rainbow that is destined for the smoker. In the two hours we were there there wasn't many fish caught, however there was a lot of action on the surface from fish chasing smelt so a floating or slow sinking line with a smelt fly will be worth a try.

The river has been consistent with not big numbers of fish but there is a good smattering of fresh fish trickling their way through. Globugs first thing in the morning and naturals during the day seems to be the way to go at the moment with a few nice silver fish in the mix along with plenty of resident fish. There is still the odd good sized brown getting picked up too with some around the 8-9lb range finding their way to the net.

Neil is out and about on the river today and has just sent through this pic making us wish we were on the river instead of working!!

We have just received a stock up of McLean nets, magnets and leashes along with a Yeti top up just in time for the colder weather so come instore and say gday and we'll get you geared up and ready to take on the winter!
