Tongariro River Flow: 27.5m3/sec

Weather: Mostly cloudy

The rain has just started to set in so keep an eye on the river flow or wind if you’re on the lake, as the rough weather is still on the way through the Plateau.
The river is looking fantastic beneath the overcast sky, there's a few groups of anglers out on the rivers today but plenty of room for more.
If you're already here get into it!

There's a good number of browns entering the river at present and we are receiving good reports of browns taking dries, nymphs and streamers. When one takes the time to find them they'll often be sitting along the edges, so take care before you make your first step into the river as there may be one at your feet 🥾🥾

Lachlan caught a stunning brown on a warm night as pictured in the featured image. He has been spending quite a bit of time on the Plateau and with each trip learning more and reaping the rewards. Well done mate ! Will catch up on the next trip.

Yesterday It was a beautiful time to be out on the water or wandering along the Tongariro river trail while the sun was out, and Tarn made the most of it with a trio of Aussie lads.

Tarn found a bit of silver and gold in the river... of the fish kind as you'll see in the photos below, but someone please tell the lad to slip, slop, slap with a bottle of SPF50! He was looking rather rouge this morning when he came into the shop 👺
