The smaller lakes continue to provide fantastic fishing for those on boat or shoreline, some days are more challenging than others but carrying various lines whilst having a good range of flies can be a real game changer as weather, temperature etc influences the behavior of the fish.

During days of hot weather we have found a majority of fish feeding within the top column so an intermediate sinking line has been the go to, but a versileader or floating line would be sufficient when stripping slightly weighted streamers or wee wets. Using dry dropper or nymph under indicator works well, twitching the flies or a using a slow retrieve can be a fun and effective way to get an eat.
