Multi-Species Applications

Guideline Aura fly reels cover a wealth of situations — from the lightest single-hand trout and Euro Nymph fishing all the way to heavy single-hand salt water and two-handed Spey applications. Every size has been carefully matched to its purpose, creating a range of modern fly reels that feel precise, balanced, and intuitive in the hand. The series consists of seven different reels, ranging from a light and delicate #34 trout reel, up to a powerful double hand #1012 salmon reel.

Large Arbor & Closed Frame

Larger diameters accelerate line pick-up and improve fish control, while carefully tuned spool widths deliver even line lay without stacking or bunching. By refining volumes to the precise needs of each application, capacities remain efficient, allowing the reels to stay lightweight and perfectly counterbalance modern, advanced rod technologies. Double-hand-specific models incorporate a solid line guard, adding mass to properly balance longer rods and reinforcing the structural integrity expected in demanding situations. All reels feature a full-frame design that prevents thin shooting lines or monofilament nymph lines from getting trapped between the spool and the frame.

CNC-Machined & Easy Retrieve Conversion

The Aura reels come in a sturdy, padded nylon pouch with Velcro closure — ideal for protecting the reel both on and off the rod. They are delivered with left-hand retrieve as standard, but switching to right-hand retrieve is quick and easy using just a flat-head screwdriver. Each reel is precision-machined to exact tolerances, ensuring perfect alignment and smooth operation even under heavy loads. CNC-machined from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminium the Aura fly reels combine lightweight performance with exceptional durability and corrosion resistance.

AURA #34 Fly Reel - This is perfect reel for delicate trout fishing with light rods and lines in the #3, #4 and #5 weight range. Smooth and easy adjustable drag system that protects light leaders, perfectly balanced for its intended use.

AURA #56 Fly Reel - A versatile all-round reel for trout, char and grayling fishing, offering the ideal balance of lightness, strength, and smooth drag control. Great with lines and rods in the #5, #6 and #7 weight range, so if you are looking for one trout reel to rule them all – this is the one.

AURA EURO Fly Reel - Here is a dedicated euro-nymph reel with a pronounced large-arbour design, narrow spool configuration and perfectly balanced for modern euro-nymph setups. It has an ultra-smooth rotation and fast line pick-up due to the large spool dimensions. The weight of this reel is optimized for nymphing rods from 10ft and up, to give a nice counterbalance and weight distribution during long sessions on the water.

AURA #78 Fly Reel - A powerful single hand & Ultra Light Scandi fly reel for migratory trout, seatrout, salmon or bonefish and striper — built to handle aggressive runs with total confidence. Great size for lines and rods in the #7, #8 and #9 weight range, both in fresh and salt water.
